Hong Kong -- Thai dinner and Night Market

Our walk first took us by this really cool fountain.
The reflections of the Christmas lights gave it an extra special glow!

Then we found a flock of flamingos!!

Then we found the Jewelry District!!

And then we found dinner...

Som Tam
(green papaya salad)

Spring Rolls

Pad Thai

And then we found the Night Market!!
We found some GREAT bumper stickers!!!
"YOU TALK LIKE ANGEL WALK LIKE MODEL
BUT YOUR BODY LOOK LIKE BUFFALO"

"I LIKE THE WAY YOU WALK I LIKE THE WAY
YOU TALK CAUSE YOUR IMAGE LIKE A FROG"

"YOU STRONG LIKE RAMBO LOOK LIKE HERO
BUT YOUR BRAIN JUST LIKE POTATO"

And found some of the cutest little thumb drives!!
I picked up a few of those; unfortunately, they didn't seem to work well.

We found "CalvenKiein" underwear...

We even found Chick-fil-A!!!
Just the t-shirt, though... no food.

We also found Jesus in Hong Kong!!

Hong Kong -- Macau -- Chapel and back to Hong Kong

Our last visit of the day....
...was to the Chapel of Our Lady of Penha.
According to the Macau tourism website, the chapel was founded in 1622 by the crew of a ship that narrowly escaped being captured by the Dutch and then served as a point of pilgrimage for sailors about to embark on a dangerous voyage.

This was the only glimpse we had inside the chapel, as it was all locked up.

However, the views and sights from the area around the chapel were pretty fascinating...

The Macau Tower

Flags of Macau and China flying on a neighboring rooftop

Views of the casinos and other buildings in 'downtown' Macau

Bentleys in the neighbor's 'garage'!!

Then it was back to the ferry and time to say our good-byes and thanks to our guide.

Our return trip snack-- chicken salad roll, water, and a yogurty/custardy type of dessert.

Lovely views of Christmas lights coming back into the the Hong Kong ferry terminal.

Then we began our evening walk in search of dinner and some markets...
