Our first full-day's adventure took us to Noah's Ark Hotel and Resort.
Since Hong Kong is made up of a number of islands, there are a number of bridges!
I can't begin to imagine how many apartments are actually in those apartment buildings!
But, these apartments have a nice beach right in front of them!
A great beach for wedding photos!
There's Noah's Ark right at the end of the beach.
(Sure doesn't look like Mt. Ararat ;) )
The lighting inside did not make for the best photos, but each area had signage in Chinese and English with frequently asked questions and answers regarding the ark. This one poses the question if the super strong wood of the ark is extinct. They answer that today we don't know what gopher wood is and goes on to give some explanations of what it might be (ie: a specific, but now extinct type of wood, a specially treated wood,...) The presentation was very well done!
Then we got to meet Chinese Noah!
He (quite animatedly) told the story of the Old Testament leading up to the flood.
Notice the Ark of the Covenant in the background!
We then enjoyed this bay view with our lunch of noodles, beef and bok choy, and a cold strawberry tea-- YUM!!
Then we were off to another attraction of the resort-- the Solar Tower....
