Also, before we depart Kyoto.....
After living five years in Waco, Texas, then five in SoCal, followed by three (at that point) years on a subtropical island, one of the biggest things we'd missed were fall leaves. So visiting mainland in the fall allowed us to get quite a fix of fall foliage. Especially since Japanese maples are absolutely glorious in the fall!!! So, here's to fall in Kyoto---
Next up-- our return to Oki...
